Don't get too down! True, it is likely some concrete will have to be broken out. A rotary hammer will make short work of that, and it only has to be broken out enough to gain access to the pipe below. Once that is done, the old closet bend or similar fitting, will be cut out, and new pieces glued in. Fill the hole and resurface with concrete, put a new flange on, install the toilet. You may not want to tackle it yourself, but it really shouldn't be too costly to have done.
