In response to Re: stuck valve on radiator
: We bought an older house that has radiator heat. Some of them work well, but in others the valve that opens and closes the water is stuck. Any suggestions?

Replace the stuck valves with new units. After you have turned off your heat and depressurized the system (this can be done at the boiler - there should be a guage on it), remove valve with wrench. Install replacement, wrapping threads with teflon tape. Here are some pointers:
- you may want to take a valve off before you go to the store. This way you can find a compatable replacement - pay close attention to the thread size / diameter.
- steam is very hot and can burn you very quickly, so make sure the system is pressure free and cooled down.
- when tightening the new unit, keep in mind that it only needs to be tight enough so it wont leak.

Good Luck!
