When the hot water is turned off at any upstairs faucet, I occasionally hear an intermittent, tapping sound in the hot water heater or the pipes near it. It's not loud or forceful (not like water hammer) - and I can live with it as long as it's not a sign of a pending problem. By the way, all the plumbing and hot water heater are less than a year old. Any ideas? |
