spigot extend

I am not sure if this is the correct board for this question but here it is. I need an easy solution. I neet to run water to 3 sections of my property that are 100 to 250 feet away from the nearest spigot Would it work fine to just put a "Y" spliter on a spigot and run PVC pipe off of one of the "Y" ends to each location,?
