|In response to Re: Replacing Delta single handle bath & shower faucets|
Whether it is an "easy" replacement will be determined by how the valve is piped in the wall. A '72 valve will probably be piped in such a way as to make removing it somewhat difficult without opening the wall. If this valve does not have the lever handle, then you may be able upgrade it with trim from a current Delta faucet, but not a pressure balanced one.
: I have a separate bath and shower. Each operates with a Delta single-handle faucet -- vintage 1982. I'd like to replace each with a more current Delta faucet simply to improve the aesthetics. Is it an easy replacement job without having to tear into the wall? I'm pretty handy -- I just don't want to dive into it if I know I'll have to open up the wall.
