: I am building a new house and the builder wants to put in Mansfield Alto toilets and Mansfield china lavatories. Upgrading to American Standard Cadet or Kohler Wellworth will cost over $2000 for 5 bathrooms. Is it worth it?

I don't think so. $2000 more and the best you can get is the Wellworth or Cadet gravity?
Unless they can offer a real upgrade, you would be better off to just take the Mansfield.
If you have problems later, you can install some high performance toilets. At least you would get what you're paying for then.
