You can, but it should not need it and will probably still leak anyway. If the valves are installed properly and tightened securely they will not leak. : I recently installed new valves for the laundry hot & cold water. They were compression type. The hot water valve leaks slowly around the threads. Can I disassemble and put Silicone Caulk around the compression ferrule to seal it? : Tom
