Moving a drain in concrete block

In redoing our bathroom, I have to move the lavatory
drains to accomodate the new position of some pedestal
sinks. These are standard PVC pipe but are run through
the concrete block.

How do I move these? I haven't worked with block walls
before. As the plumbing will be exposed (it is a wrought
iron pedestal base), I don't want to use any external
flexible pipe etc.
