if you have a diverter tub spout and there is not enough pressure in your water system to hold it fully closed when you pull up on it, it will drip water from the spout and possibly some water will come out the shower head at the same time. this is normal and the only way to get it to stop is to increase pressure in your system. that means installing a pressure booster pump, replacing obstructed pipes (from mineral build up over time in hard water conditions) or talking your water company into retapping your house water supply onto their main (sometimes the original tap becomes obstructed with minerals or sediment build up). Good Luck! :-)
