It is done, but I prefer not to mix heating and hot water usage, unless you use a heater with a separate closed unit for the heating usage. Fresh water has a certain amount of air in it and that can wreak havoc with a radiant system, especially if it accumulates and interferes with the flow. : I was looking for information on radient floor heating as I would like to do this to my basement to make it usable in the winter. It is a cement slab. I have oil - forced hot air heat. I need to replace my gas water heater and was hoping to get something to run using oil to use as a water heater and to heat a radient floor. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.
