: 105 psi is way too much. A pressure regulator can easily be installed where the water comes into the house. They are not expensive either. Possibly one of the plumbers will respond to this with more precise knowledge, but I think 45 to 60 psi is enough. Too much can put a strain on parts of the system.
How much to install such a gadget? The plumber made it sound quite expensive. There is one installed but it simply is old and non-functional.
