The problem that you have is that the anode rod in you water heater is normally a magnesium rod. On well systems and aluminum anode rod should be installed instead of a magnesium this is what,s causiung the sulfer smell. The reason being is that chlorine content attaches to a magnesium rod,and there is no chlorine in a well system. |
