You don't know, and it could be coming from either or both places. That is why all the piping should be replaced. It only takes a single rusty pipe to discolor all the water. They only guarantee that it will not leak, nothing about the quality of the water. : IF I HAVE YELLOW WATER FROM RUSTY GALVANIZED PIPE, HOW WILL I KNOW THAT THE PROBLEM IS IN MY PIPES AS OPPOSED TO THE PIPE RUNNING IN FROM THE MAIN LINE. WHAT GUARANTEE DO THESE RE-PIPING SPECIALISTS MAKE?
