: The sink disposal just stopped...I took out the rubber ring around the top to see in there, removed some pieces of plastic...presumably from a wrapper of some sort from the kids (!)...but know it just goes "buzzzzzzzz" when I flip the switch. The reset button has not "popped" so that is not the problem...but if the motor is burned, would it still buzz? Or, could there really be something in there that would just stop the whole works? How easy is to remove them and take a look? I'm pretty handy around the house, but I don't want to take it out and then have to call someone to put it back in, you know what I mean, don't you? ha ha. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Many disposers have an Allen fitting that can be turned that will free up the unit.
When whatever "crud" is removed that stopped it, you should be fine. Yeah, there's got to be some crud in there. Terry
