You will have to remove it anyway, but you could find that it will be more cost effective to replace the unit with a ready made jetted unit, since you will then get a waranty with it, and depending on which one you buy, it could also be foam insulated after the piping is installed to make it more effcient and comfortable. : It is a large garden tub but it is a normal molded type not a tiled version. : : : How is the tub constructed?
