: Any water level switch would be a separate item and not part of the pump. It appears more likely that the pump is going into overload shutdown, possibley due to a failing motor. If so that would turn it off for a short while every so often.

: : I am on a submersible well system. Recently, we experienced problems when there would suddenly be no pressure in the system. Sometimes it would only be a minute, sometimes several mintues before pressure would return. I checked the breaker and it's fine. I also checked the switch with a volt meter and it is fine, but the pump was not running. Then it would kick on and filthe pressure tank some minutes later.
: : The pump is only 8-9 months old. Is there a float switch that keeps the pump from running if it is not submerged? It has been dry here, but no worse than in past years. I'm not sure if the water level is down, or there is a problem with the pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
