|In response to Re: ball valve - intermittent fault|
Once should have been enough to warrant changing the valve. Why it happened is immaterial, if it can happen intermittently, it can happen when you are not at home.
: Twice in the past year the ball valve in my cold water tank has failed to turn off the supply, causing an overflow. Both times it corrected when I put my arm into the tank and lifted the ball. The tank and the valve are only 3 years old and apart from these two isolated incidents there have been no other problems, no leaks, no drips from the overflow, nothing. The ball doesn't appear to be touching anything in the tank so I'm puzzled why it should have become stuck and why its only happend twice in the past year. Any advice?
