Hi, I'm adding a new bathroom in my house. I will have to
run a new vent` up through my roof which is a
tar&gravel roof. so here's my question: will I be able to just poke a hole
through the top, stick the vent pipe through and
then tar around it? OR will I have to tear away part
of the roof and install flashing of some kind and
then repair the roof? can you give me some pointers on what is involved
here? all of the books that I can find show how
to install the vent/flashing for composit roofs,
but not for T&G roofs..... thanks
