|In response to Re: resurfacing shower pan|
The fiberglass shower pan is non-porous and slick, which means that almost anything you try to apply to it won't stick, even cement thin set mortar for new tile floor. Contact a LICENSED fiberglass tub and shower contractor near you for estimates. They'll use an acid to etch the fiberglass and cause the resin to weaken, which will allow roughening up for an epoxy resin to bond to what is existing, and give you a very satisfactory floor.
: We are remodeling our bathroom. The fiberglass shower pan is stained and scratched. Is there a product you can recommend to resurface the floor? The walls are four inch ceramic tiles. The pan seems pretty sturdy, we are considering tiling directly over the shower pan. ANy recomondations- please help?
