Eliminate the airgap and use that hole. Route the dishwasher outlet directly to the disposer inlet - insure the hose is long enough to elevate the middle of the hose to below countertop bottom - if the hose is too short - buy a new hose. Clamp the hose to the counter top - don't kink the hose. This is allowed in the plumbing code and eliminates the airgap - they can be a maintenance problem. An airgap or the high loop prevent sink/ disposal water from entering the dishwasher. Good luck, Fred. |
