In response to Re: well pump problem
: I have a shallow well pump and a fairly new bladder tank. There's very low water pressure and the pump won't turn off (I have to turn off the switch). The pressure in the tank is ok, but the pressure on the pump only gets to about 35 - cut-off is at 40. Cut-in is 20. I've checked the pressure switch and it is where it should be. What do I do now? Thanks in advance.

There is a ventura in the pump that is plugged with rust.It is a jet hole about 1/8 in and when a chunk of rust gets lodged in it, the results are what is taking place with you have a cased well or a sand point? Shallow well is a one pipe system. Hope this helps.
