Water softener/washer drain

Our water softener hose drains into the top of the pipe that drains our washer, which is located in our basement. When I run the washer, the water comes out of the top of the pipe and goes all over the floor. We put a dry well in a few years ago, but now we still have a problem. I can't remember if it worked right after the dry well was installed or not. What could we do to stop the washer water from draining on the basement floor?
