|In response to Re: bathroom in walkout basement using septic system|
: I will be buildind a small log home on a small lake. I will be having a finished walkout basement. I would like
: to have a full bath in the walkout but my builder seems to be discourging me from doing so. He tells me that I will have to have a special pump system that is costly and requires alot of maintance according to my builder. Is there any truth to what he is telling me? I really would like to have a bath down there........what can I do??
If you are below the sewer line to the tank then you will have to install a sewer ejector pump. Yes there will be a problem with this pump, maybe once every 5 yrs to 10 yrs. It may need a switch or whatever.I have installed more than a 100 of these pumps, most new homes have them in basements. Do it now before pouring the concrete floor or it will be tripple cost later on.You do what you want..It's your money.
