: I have a home that is approximately 28 yrs old. I have three restrooms and I'm having trouble with the hot water pressure in one of them. It is equipped with an American Standard faucet. We have not used this tub in quite awhile because there is no pressure when you turn the lever to HOT. I have recently replaced the old cartridge and its accessories thinking that would do the trick. While I was replacing the old cartridge I noticed that there was some build up that would not allow the hot water to run smoothly. I used a small pick and cleared the hole. Unfortunately, I still have no pressure when moving my handle to the hot side. Any suggestions on how I can increase this pressure?

John,
Does the home have galvanized pipes? If so, the hot side may be "closing up".
