Built in July 1983, or possibly a few months earlier since they sometimes postdate the water heater serial number, and from the serial number coding it was probably made by Rheem/Ruud. : I am a Family & Consumer Science teacher (home economics). The district has constructed a new room and brought in a used Courier electric water heater....Model CV 40 1RT1 0 Serial G83640772. : Is this really a 20 year old water heater as I think it is?
