The tub is probably cast iron, and I would take a sponge covered with Comet to it. I know it's abrasive, but that's the only way after all these years.
Tiles are another matter. Through the years deposits in water can etch the surface of the glaze that it's nearly impossible to make the tiles look presentable. Best thing is Clorox and elbow grease. Wear rubber gloves.
