Sound insulation under steel tub

I'm installing a new steel tub. I notice that there is a gap of two or three inches between the tub and the subfloor when the tub is level. Is there something that could be put under the tub, loke foam or rubber that would take up that gap and absorb some of the sound that a steel tub tends to have over cast iron?

Thanks for you help.
