: Hi! I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about plumbing so please follow me. I had an old outside faucet for outside and I went to install a stillcock and noticed that in my basement I have all copper plumbing. It looks like the old faucet is completely welded to the tubing. Is there a way to take the old faucet off with outbreaking the pipes and is there some kind of adapater I can buy to connect the stillcock and copper tubing? You gotta attach the new one somehow, I'd suggest getting the parts from a local store,,,ie. a tubing cutter, then fittings for the new one either compression if your afraid to solder but its really not that bad,,,a basic how to plumbing book can help....
