Venetian Marble IS NOT real marble (stone). It is a cultured product that has many of the characteristics of high density poly/plastics (which is what it is). The olny way to repair a shallow burnis to lightly sand it, using very fine grit papers -- and even this is dubious. Look to repair techniques for corican (a similar substance).
