: My Amtrol water pressuriser turns on and off continously without demand. BUT it doesn't do it consistently (usually it's about 2 in the morning). From basic research it seems like the check valve is the most likely culprit. I turned on the pump and turned off the supply to the pump and the pressure did not change - I understand this is a test for a problem check valve. Could I fix this? Could you recommend someone who is familiar with these pumps (are you? - I live in seattle, capitol hill). Thanks

Charles,
I would check for leaks in the home. Toilets have a way of refilling during the night. You can put food coloring in the tank and see if the flapper is leaking.
