Unless the pipe has a vent going up at the point where the drain goes down, then it is just another "S" trap, so there is not difference in that case. : I read on an earlier posting that s-traps were dangerous and not to code. Can someone explain why? I dont see a difference if it runs horizontal several inches and than has a 90 down vs an s-trap. Thanks.
