For it to be of that magnitude, I would have to assume you received a slug of turbid water from the city main. Check with your water supplier to see if they flushed, or have to flush, their mains. : My toilet bowl filled with thick rusty water today. By evening the water had cleared up quite a bit, enough to see through it. But when I ran my sons bath that night the tub was full of medium toned rusty water. Can you advise me on the severity/remedy of such things? House 1926 with I believe all original heavy cast iron pipes, water heater 4 years old, skill level novice.
