|In response to Re: Well Water Main Cut-Off|
Just turn off the cold water so that there isn't any pressure to the washing machine. If you need to also turn off the water supply valve to turn off the pressure, do that also. You don't need to drain the hot water heater. Hot water gets its pressure from the cold entering the water heater
: I have a well-water system and I need to replace a hot-water washing machine hook-up. There is no water cut-off valve before the water heater and the main water cut-off.
: Do I cut-off the cold-water valve from the water heater and drain the water heater in order to make the repair? Do I cut-off the main water supply? Do I do both? If I need to cut-off the main water supply do I do this at the pump? Help! Please send me an e-mail. thanks!
