: The water in my toliet tank stopped coming in. I checked the cutoff and it was still on. I turned it off and then turned it back on, then the water began to come in the tank. There may be something in the fill valve or shutoff that is plugging. Sometimes with galvanized pipes, "crud" breaks off and lodges downstream.
"crud" is the proper plumbers term for junk and stuff.
