Sorry about the false post, I hit the wrong key.
Rent a rotary hammer. It does not have to be a 90 pound breaker for that small amount. Break out enough to be sure you're deep and wide enough to put the new pipe and fittings into. The floor is likely between 4" and 6" thick. After getting the pipes installed and checked, it needs to be re-cemented, but since this will not be load bearing under the shower, I'd just use a morter. Its easier to mix.
