I am installing a brand new Prife Pfister faucet with the tap that doubles as a pull out sprayer. When installing the faucet, it recommended that I alter the supply lines connecting to the water source with a flaring tool so to install a different type of nut that attaches to the stand pipe/water source. Is this necessary... and why would it only be recommended? It mentioned something about pressure and possible water damage? The current supply lines are the new ones sold @ Home Depot, etc... and appear to be quality item? Thanks for any help and or advice. Kevin |
