A second comment is that roots are some of the most powerful items on earth. I have seen them collapse water and sewer lines by growing around them. For this reason, I would not be surprised if, after the liner were installed and since they would still be able to grow through the original pipe, that they might not infiltrate between the liner and old pipe and deform or displace it. : hi, : my sewer was videoed and has several cracks where roots were getting in -- it would cost almost $7000 to dig up the yard and street to replace the pipe. i hear there's a liner that can be used without replacing the pipe, but would that just be temporary and could the roots get back in? i dont want to have to fix this twice. thanks for you help.
