|In response to Re: Honed/ Tumbled Marble|
: I love the stone look and wanted to use a slab of honed botticino for my vanity counter and tumbled botticino tiles for my shower surround and floor. I'm afraid of the porous nature however, even knowing that it will all be sealed. Any advice would be appreciated.
I work for a Tile installation company and we use tumbled natural stone in shower pans all the time without any trouble. Sealing the stone will protect it, but keep in mind you will need to reseal every 6-9 months to keep the seal.
However since it is indoors (no risk of freezing) the water should not damage the stone if that is your concern.
