If you tile first you can always change you vanity without having to patch or re-tile. However, with the other approach you can put the tile on top of the counter. This approach is better if your wall has imperfections. : I'm wondering what the proper method is to install a vanity cabinet: after the wall is tiled or before? I thought it could go up against the sheetrock and then grout the tile around it? Or is this risky? : Also, is it more effective to have a 4" backsplash as part of my stone slab counter or ok to tile and grout right to the counter?
