|In response to Re: 3" toilet flange|
I personally would not even consider the internal flange just for the reason that the opening is so small. I consider a 3" opening almost too small as it is.
: I am finishing a new bathroom with 3" pvc stubbed up for the toilet. I've found flanges which fit over the outside of the pipe (requires chipping the concrete) and flanges which fit on the inside of the pipe. The hole in the flange which fits inside the 3" seems to be rather small (2 5/8" to be exact) is this sufficent or would it be worth chipping a little concrete to gain the extra diameter of the flange which fits over the pipe?
