Reglazing is highly effective, also simply regrouting or changing the grout color is very effective, but it's like painting your car. Get a LICENSED Professional to do the work for you, or you'll forever regret it. The original tile color is blended into the tile clay during manufacture, and the glaze is heat fired onto that. To get another good looking glaze, the discoloration, cracking, chips, and soap scum oxidation need to be etched out with a strong acid under controlled ventilation environments. Be safe!!!!!

: We're doing a makeover of our bathrooms in our 70 year old house and everything is looking clean and new except the old wall tile. How effective is reglazing? Does it work? Help!!!
