There is no standard. It is whatever that company decides it is worth. What size water heater? Is it in a garage, basement, utility room, or...? Is there a water softener or any other item in front of it? There are a lot of variables that can make one installation cost a lot more than another one. : How are plumbing rates calculated. estimate on a replacing of a water heater-to Bradford White LP hydro jet was $1,500. This seems high, how can we find out without waiting forever to have it replaced and numerous bids. : thanks for any help
