|In response to Re: Button-style stopper & clog|
: My Jacuzzi tub drain won't stay up to let the water drain. Don't know what is broken, need to know how to replace it. The drain normally would pull up and twist and it seemed to have a rest that would hold it open from the bottom. I now have to wedge it for the water to drain. Can you help. Please give detailed instructions on how to get it out without scratching the marble.
Sounds like the tabs on the stopper have broken off inside. The style I'm familiar with has the screw for the stopper under the knob you pull up on. Try holding the body and unscrewing the knob, uncsrew the be a stem inside and the stopper will come out,see if you can find a replacement or buy a standard rubber tub stopper. It may also be possible that the stopper is one piece which means it should come out by unscrewing the whole stopper
