You might want a second opinion, especially if the first plumber did not check the tank to see if the bladder is defective. : I currently have a slow leak in my boiler and was told that the relief valve and expansion tank need replacement $670. The expansion tank is 4 years old. I was told the pressure reached 28# in ten minutes. Do you really think the expansion tank needs replacement or are they taking advantage of my not knowing a thing about plumbing. Do you suggest a new plumber?
