You start with a concrete breaker. The shower must have a pee trap below the surface of the floor. If the drain is ABS or PVC, you should have no big problem. They make saddle connectors that you can tap into the main drain. If you have cast iron, go for help. Rough in the drain leaving a foot or so above the floor. This will be trimmed when you attach drain. The location of the drain is determined by the size shower you are going to use. The drain goes straight down into the pee trap and then to the sewer. Give it at least 1" drop per foot. If it's a short run, you won't have to add a vent.
