: I am re-doing a house and intend to install two new toilets. The toilet is removed in one bathroom and I measure 11 inches from the centerline of the closet drain to the wall. On the other I measure 11 inches from the bolts to the wall. Do I buy 12 inch toilets or search for 10 inch toilets?

Many 12" rough toilets will work with 11.25 inches.
11" may or may not make it.
You may be looking at 10" rough.
On some, if it's over a 4" flange, I been able to scoot the bolts up a bit to make it work.
