If you mean the fluidmaster with the "putty" sealer, then they are very hard to fit to the AS tilt mechanism and get a proper seal.
: I have a 15 year old mid flow American Standard Toilet that has a slow tank leak. I have replaced the flapper with a Fluidmaster type with a wax ring. I believe the seal is good and that the flapper is working properly. But the water continues to drain very slowly from the tank. Every hour or two the water has dropped enough to cause the fill valve to refill.
