Add flange to cast Iron toliet drain

Hi, I am remodeling an old bathroom and the toilet drain is cast iron but there is no flange on the pipe. I want to add a flange to this pipe. I have found an Oatey cast iron flange that has a rubber seal; I think the model is Oatey 165. I am wondering will this thing work and not leak? Do I need to just put this flange on, bolt it tight and it will not leak? Or do I need to put some sealant or should I use something else? Any help would be great. Thank you for your time.
