: I am running a 1/2" natural gas line to a new direct-vent fireplace. I am using 1/2" black steel pipe and Harveyseal at the joints, tightening with pipe wrenches. At the start of the line, I have a lever valve. At the end of the line (before the steel flexible hose to the fireplace, I have a ball valve. I have run 50 feet of pipe...do I need to create a sediment trap at the end of the line?
