: The mounting screws appear to be set in the concrete and no flange was used. could this be the case? : I have chipped out 3/4 to 1" of the concrete and have not hit a flange or loosened the bolts. Pipe is flush with concrete floor. : Problem: I am installing ceramic tile to complete the basement remodel and the bolts will be too short to mount the toilet. do i need to chip out the concrete around the pipe and install a flange or can I mount the flange ontop of existing concrete???? : Thank you for your comments. You can use a PASCO quick ring to hold the new closet bolts. I use 1/4" by 1.5" concrete anchors to attach them for concrete floors. Terry
